Tickets and skipass purchase

Ticket office regulations

The purchase and the consequent possession of the ticket involves the knowledge and full acceptance of these rules and regulations displayed to the public at the ticket offices of the lift company and published on the website www.skiareavalchiavenna.it1. The ticketing regulations make clear reference to the skipass price list displayed to the public, which must be considered as an integral part of the same.

2. The start and end of the year is fixed by the ski lift company on the basis of the weather conditions, the condition of the slopes, the snow conditions and the technical requirements of the ski lifts. Any transport ticket shall lose its validity at the end of the season in which it was issued.

3. The operating hours are fixed by the lift company and made known to the public by means of notices posted at the ticket offices and at the departure of the lifts, as well as on the website www.skiareavalchiavenna.it. The timetable could be subject to variations during the day for technical, service, security or force majeure reasons, without this being a reason for compensation for the ticket holder.

4. All tickets are valid on the opening days and according to the scheduled times better defined in point 2. Seasonal station tickets are valid from the first day of opening until the closing day of the season.

5. The ski pass or the electronic device in which the ticket is incorporated (rechargeable card) is the only document proving the conclusion of the contract between the lift company and the transported person. In order to obtain the nominative ticket or the rechargeable card, it is necessary to provide your identification data and a recent  photograph that makes the identity of the person easily recognizable. In case of checks by part of the staff in charge, the customer is required to show his or her ticket. The purchase of the ticket gives only the right to use the corresponding facilities, for the routes indicated, on the day or days of validity and according to the influx of travelers at the departure of the facilities. The customer must check at the time of collecting the ski pass that it complies with his request.

6. The nominative electronic device (rechargeable card), in which the ticket is incorporated, can be purchased at the authorized ticket offices of the company at a cost of € 5.00. With the purchase the support becomes the property of the holder, the amount paid can not be refunded or considered as a security deposit.

7. It is not possible to change later or extend the duration of the cards already used except for multi-day cards starting from 6 consecutive days whose extension of validity is allowed at a reduced price.

8. Reduced-fare ski passes (senior, junior, child, etc.) are issued by showing a valid identification document, which cannot be replaced by self-certification. At the time of purchase and before the issue of the ticket, the customer must indicate the right to any reductions by presenting the appropriate documentation proving, unequivocally, the existence of the required requirement. The presence of the beneficiary of the reduction at the time of purchase is also required. The documentation proving the right to a price reduction may also be requested by the personnel in charge of controlling access to the plants.

9. After the first use, the ticket cannot be replaced and/or refunded. A partial refund of the ski pass will only be given in the event of a skiing accident in the Madesimo ski area, as proven by the report of the piste rescue team and the first aid certificate attesting the impossibility of skiing. The ski pass is refunded with effect from the day after the day of return on the basis of the remaining unused days. The seasonal ski pass is instead refunded, under the same conditions indicated in the previous paragraph, in proportion to the part not enjoyed after deduction of a lump sum equal to 30% of the price paid. The passes of accompanying persons and family members of the injured party are not refundable. In all other cases, sickness/personal motives, no refund is granted.

10. The ski pass or the electronic device that incorporates it (rechargeable card) is a personal document, the loan, the temporary transfer of the card or any abuse or misuse will result in the temporary blocking of the ticket which will be withdrawn and cancelled without any right to reimbursement of the part not enjoyed. In case of repeated violation the company reserves the right to act against the offender both criminally and civilly.

11. For multi-day consecutive day ski passes valid for periods with different fares, the fare of the period in which the highest number of days falls, in case of equal number of days the higher fare applies.

12. In the event of loss or a faulty card, if the passenger is able to provide the data needed to uniquely identify the device held (serial number of the ticket or electronic device, identification data of the holder, day and time of issue) it will be possible to cancel the ticket and issue a new one in favor of the holder. In case of a new issue on rechargeable card it will be necessary to pay the amount of € 5,00 for the purchase of a new electronic device.

14. Persons with disabilities who present a suitable certificate of incapacity equal to or greater than 70% are entitled to a 30% discount on the normal fares to the public.

15. The company of the plants reserves the right to decide the opening and the closing of plants and tracks at its own unquestionable judgement without that it can influence the price of the ticket. The opening of all ski lifts and slopes is not guaranteed. Due to force majeure (electro-mechanical failure, adverse weather conditions) or for events, competitions, competitions, training, one or more ski lifts and slopes may be closed to the public without the ski pass holder making any claims for compensation.

16. With the purchase of the ski passes granted to Junior and Children, the parent assumes all responsibility for the correct use of the ski lifts and slopes by the minor beneficiary.

17. In implementation of Law no. 363 art. 8 of December 24, 2003, users of ski slopes under the age of 14 years are obliged to wear suitable protective helmets.
